The United States Mint recently released the final mintage figures for the 2008 Bald Eagle Commemorative Coins. These figures make adjustments from the last sales figures previously reported.
There were three different coins included in the commemorative program: $5 gold, $1 silver, and 50 cent clad composition. The coins were sold individually in proof or uncirculated version, within a 3 coin proof set, and several specially packaged collector sets. Most offerings went on sale January 15, 2008. Sales of all products containing Bald Eagle Commemorative coins ended on December 12, 2008.

The Young Collector’s Set contained the Uncirculated 2008 Bald Eagle Half Dollar. The Coin and Medal Set contained the Uncirculated 2008 Bald Eagle Silver Dollar along with a bronze bald eagle medal from the National Wildlife Reserve System medal series. The American Legacy Collection contained the Proof 2008 Silver Dollar along with coins included in the standard 2008 Proof Set.
Final mintages for each individual coin are included below. Figures below represent the total number of coins minted and sold across all packaging and product options.
