Bald Eagle 3 Coin Proof SetAs of February 28, 2008, the Bald Eagle 3 Coin Proof Set has sold out at the U.S. Mint. This set contains proof versions of the $5 Gold, $1 Silver, and 50c Clad Bald Eagle Coins.

The set is the first product option of the Bald Eagle Commemorative Program to sell out. The product had been limited to 25,000 units. There was a ordering limit of 1 set per household.

Each of the three coins contained within the set is still available as a single coin offering at the U.S. Mint. The Three Coin Proof Set is now only available on the secondary market.

As of February 14, 2008, the pricing at the US Mint for the Bald Eagle Commemorative Coins has been updated. The prior introductory pricing is no longer in effect and the regular pricing is effective.

The $5 Gold Bald Eagle Coin prices have been increased to $319.95 and $309.95 for proof and uncirculated coins, respectively. The previous prices were $294.95 and $284.95.

The $1 Silver Bald Eagle Coin prices have been increased to $43.95 and $37.95 for proof and uncirculated coins, respectively. The previous prices were $39.95 and $35.95.

The 50c Clad Half Dollar Bald Eagle Coin prices have been increased to $10.95 and $8.95 for proof and uncirculated coins, respectively. The previous prices were $9.95 and $7.95.

Pricing for the 3 Coin Proof Set, Young Collector’s Set, and Coin and Medal Set remains the same at $369.95, $14.95, and $44.95, respectively.

Bald Eagle Commemorative Coins have been available for sale at the US Mint for approximately 5 weeks. During this time, sales have been relatively brisk with strong sales in both the gold and silver coins.

The 3 Coin Proof Set, which contains one each of the $5 Gold Proof, $1 Silver Proof, and 50c Clad Proof has nearly reached sell out levels.

Bald Eagle Gold Coins have reached 52% of the maximum authorized mintage of 100,000 coins.

Bald Eagle Silver Coins have reached 39% of the maximum overall authorized mintage of 500,000 coins.
