The US Mint has released images for the new 2008 Bald Eagle Commemorative Coins. Three different coins are available, including a $5 Gold Coin, $1 Silver Coin, and 50c Clad Coin. Each coin will be available in either proof or uncirculated and have a set authorized maximum mintage. Large size images of the new coins appear below.

The Bald Eagle Commemorative Coins go on sale January 15, 2008 at 12:00 Noon ET. The Mint has recently set the introductory pricing as well as initial household ordering limits. The introductory pricing applies to the first 30 days of sales. After February 14, 2008, regular pricing begins.
The $5 Gold Bald Eagle Coin is available in proof or uncirculated. The introductory price is $294.95 and $284.95, respectively. The household ordering limit is 100 units.
The $1 Silver Bald Eagle Coin is available in proof or uncirculated. The introductory price is $39.95 and $35.95, respectively. The household ordering limit is 100 units.
The 50c Clad Half Dollar Bald Eagle Coin is available in proof or uncirculated. The introductory price is $9.95 and $7.95, respectively. The household ordering limit is 100 units.
